Researchers from the Circumpolar Flaw Lead System Study project (TOP) help secure a diver (BOTTOM) immersed in the frigid waters of the Amundsen Gulf. A flaw lead is a biologically rich system of open water and thin ice that lasts throughout the winter and a prime area to monitor climate change.
