Guidelines for Acknowledgement of Government of Canada Program for IPY

The Government of Canada IPY Federal Program Office encourages the use of its identifiers by all Government of Canada-funded IPY projects for the acknowledgement of the funding that has made the project possible and for the promotion of IPY events and activities. Please follow the following guidelines when acknowledging or using Government of Canada logos:

  1. Projects which have received funding from the Government of Canada Program for IPY must acknowledge funding assistance from the Program in all their public project materials, publications, websites, presentations, media interviews and activities. This includes the use of Government of Canada identifiers and logos to indicate the project was completed with support from the Government of Canada Program for IPY.
  2. The following text should be included along with the Government of Canada and IPY Program logos: "This project/exhibit was made possible with the generous support of the Government of Canada Program for International Polar Year."
  3. Official name of program should be referenced as "Government of Canada Program for International Polar Year".
  4. The IPY logo for the Government of Canada Program should be used together with either the Government of Canada or Canada wordmark, as much as possible.
  5. If you are not a Government of Canada-funded IPY project, but would like to use the Government of Canada Program for IPY logo, please contact the Government of Canada Program Office at ipy-api@ainc-inac.gc.ca or (819) 953-2007.
